Description
Plutocrats, a term coined by Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland, who won the Lionel Gelber Prize, and an FT Best Book of the Year for her book carrying the same name, is a documentary that travels through a world increasingly paralyzed by joblessness, debt, and economic uncertainty. The film depicts a world where the wealth gap is now greater than it was in the Gilded Age, the age of the Rockefellers and Vanderbilts. Shot in the Ukraine, Greece, Davos, the USA and Canada, Plutocrats shows the effect of the wealth gap on global politics, including Brexit and the recent election of Trump.
