Description
Meet the Transects pride, a Serengeti superpride made of double the number of lions - and lionesses - than the average pride. In south-eastern Tanzania, herds of over a million wildebeest and zebra follow the rains and the new grass north to Kenya. Their journey takes them right into the heart of Transect Territory. For the next weeks, the lionesses will gorge on wildebeest and zebra, having perfectly synchronized the arrival of cubs with the arrival of the wildebeest. Join us as we witness these remarkable lionesses protecting cubs against nomadic male lions who hope to mate with them - just one of the many challenges this pride will face.
