This program examines such plant hormones as abscisic acid, auxin, cytokinins, ethylene, and gibberellins. It defines apoptosis and discusses its role in developing and adult organisms; its initiation, looking at intrinsic and extrinsic pathways; and the cell destruction process. The program also looks at the difference between apoptosis and necrosis and examines apoptosis malfunctions and human diseases.
